Male arrested in Town and Issued Community Protection Warning

#TOWN Following reports of a persistent offender involved in anti-social behaviour at Scunthorpe Central Library, a plain-clothed neighbourhood officer conducting proactive patrols attended the location earlier today.

Shortly after arrival, the officer spotted the male suspect, who is known to police. Further checks revealed the individual was wanted for theft. Uniformed patrol officers responded swiftly, and the male was arrested at the scene.

This male will now be issued with a Community Protection Warning, which includes a 12-month ban from the library. The Town Ward Neighbourhood Policing Team remains fully committed to tackling anti-social behaviour and criminal activity using the full range of ASB powers available.
